Managing Director & Founder

With 6 years in institutional finance and 20 years managing personal investments, Josh brings a unique combination of institutional expertise and entrepreneurial vision. As a former trader and wealth manager, he worked on the largest Merrill Lynch team in America, managing $2.5 billion in assets. His background as a former fintech specialist provides deep technology knowledge that enables proprietary system development. Josh combines rigorous quantitative analysis with behavioral insights developed over two decades of active trading, founding Avarus Capital to create a fund that refuses to compromise between exceptional returns and capital preservation.

David A. Beamish

Partner

Dave is a seasoned, quintessential entrepreneur with more than 35 years of business ownership under his belt. Over the decades, he's built and scaled companies across a wide range of industries—from industrial healthcare services to internet technology and agricultural processing—always with a focus on turning ground-up ventures into profitable, sellable businesses. Employing over 1200 employees throughout his career, Dave has focused an ardent work ethic on building companies by hiring the best people for the job, providing aggressive and innovative value propositions for the customers and building sales through creative thinking, streamlined marketing and quality manufacturing. In addition to operating his own companies, Dave has served on the boards of three U.S. public companies, where he played a key role in raising over 40 million dollars in funding. We're confident that his business acumen and proven leadership will help Avarus grow into a well-funded, balanced and highly profitable organization.

Shaun Moore

Chief Executive Officer

As CEO, Shaun oversees all non-investment functions of the firm — operations, compliance, technology, investor relations, fundraising, and team-building — while providing the leadership and infrastructure that allow the fund's investment strategy to be executed at the highest level. He is responsible for protecting investor capital through operational excellence and ensuring the firm runs with the same discipline and precision he honed in the U.S. Navy.

As a U.S. Air Force veteran, Alex brings precision and discipline to every aspect of operations. His expertise in operational excellence and strategic execution translates directly to managing sophisticated investment infrastructure. As COO and equity partner at Avarus Capital, Alex channels these foundations into building the operational infrastructure that enables consistent performance.

Don Berry

Chief Technology Officer

Don brings extensive experience as a senior systems engineer at RTX Raytheon and as a U.S. Air Force veteran. His background in developing and maintaining critical defense systems provides the technical rigor necessary for our proprietary trading infrastructure. Don ensures operational excellence across all aspects of the firm, maintaining the highest standards in execution and supporting our team's ability to deliver exceptional results.
